Although there are issues with gays in the military such as the comfort of straight soldiers and possible inappropriate relationships, the pros of throwing away this policy far out way the cons. Through the years many gays have been kicked out of the military with many playing very important roles, such as those who speak other languages. Also our ideals of fair treatment among all people are not represented. I support the movement, which will soon probably be put into action, as justice will finally serve. Just because you prefer a different sexual orientation doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to serve your own country proudly.
